Bridger
Everyone thinks they’re different. However, for Ashlyn McVean, being different is not only very true, but also very deadly. Not just because her eyes are pitch black, because she could eat an entire cow and not gain any weight, or because her family refuses to talk about the first three years of her life like they were the plague. Ashlyn is different because after a trip to Ireland and a near death experience, she finds out she is a Bridger, one of only two in existence.
Able to cross between the faerie realms while others cannot, Ashlyn is faced with trying to understand what she can do, why she can do it, and most importantly what she is. As questions are being answered, more are cropping up from her friends, family, and her new boyfriend. When those closest to her go against her after being coerced by her enemies and her boyfriend leaves because of her tangled background, she must make hard decisions on where her allegiances lie and how to manage the abilities she has.
Learning that the folklore her Irish grandmother has told her all her life really does have a speck of truth, Ashlyn’s world is turned upside down as she races to bridge the gaps in her life between friends, family, love and ultimately, realms.
